In 1995, he published a 35,000-word manifesto titled
"Industrial Society and Its Future."
In the manifesto, Kaczynski outlined his anti-technology philosophy and called for a revolution against the industrial system.
The manifesto was published in the New York Times and the Washington Post.
After reading the manifesto, Kaczynski's brother, David, recognized his brother's writing style and turned him into the FBI.
Kaczynski was arrested in 1996 and charged with multiple counts of murder and attempted murder.
He was convicted in 1997 and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Kaczynski died in prison in 2023 at the age of 80.
